In recent weeks I have had the pleasure of joining the Shadows Like Strangers lads in the very impressive Pirate Studios, Nottingham. Until last night, I found myself being guilty of never actually seeing them perform live outside of the studio, but last night it finally happened and boy was I impressed. Rough Trade was the venue and they were support to UK based Fall Out Boy tribute band Fell Out Boy, in what proved to be a fantastic evening to a brilliant crowd.
You can see more of Shadows Like Strangers here and Fell Out Boy here. I also would like to say, despite not photographing them, Left Hand Lane and Bertie Scott were both solid opening performers who I will definitely be keeping my eye on to see when they are next in town.
The nerdy bits for my photographer friends, for this one, I shot with;
Canon 5D mk III, Canon 24-70 f2.8, Sigma 15mm f2.8, Canon 430EX Flash
Base Settings: ISO 800, f3.5 1/200.
** I also forgot my dbud earplugs and 100% will not be doing that again, I felt the damage caused as soon as I left the venue so will make sure they are in the bag again straight away.
